Mid Level Position
As a Manager, you will be responsible for managing client accounts and taking the lead on all project stages from proposal to final reporting, with supervision. You will effectively communicate with clients across different channels and address queries with confidence. You will be expected to have a strong understanding of client business issues/research needs and potential areas for more work. You will also be responsible for managing all aspects of existing client relationships and successfully achieving client renewals/repeat projects, including up-selling and cross-selling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage client accounts and take the lead on all project stages from proposal to final reporting, with supervision
- Provide the highest standard of service levels, act quickly and positively on every occasion, and effectively communicate with clients across different channels
- Manage all aspects of existing client relationships and successfully achieve client renewals/repeat projects, including up-selling and cross-selling
- Prepare research proposals, including research design and costings, with minimal changes and revisions required
- Lead client discussions and attend meetings, actively contributing to client discussions
- Actively promote awareness of the company amongst potential clients and contacts, driving company marketing initiatives with relevant stakeholders
- Effectively manage workload of self and team, working closely with team members to resolve existing resource issues for projects at hand, and proactively recommend approaches to mitigate potential workload issues within the team
- Work with team members to actively identify and solve project management-related issues before they arise, and recommend ways to prevent issues from arising in the future
- Demonstrate strong knowledge and application of different research methodologies, design both simple and complex research materials independently, and guide junior researchers to ensure quality of all research materials produced by the team
- Conduct in-depth interviews and moderate focus groups independently, with client objectives in mind, and contribute to the design of workshops
- Prepare DP specs/programming notes and provide guidance to juniors, lead discussions with Ops and DP to brief them on specifications, and perform quality checks on data tables/DE/online links
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (market research, business, statistics, etc.)
- 5+ years of experience in market research and client management techniques, with the ability to competently handle all stages of the project life cycle (from proposal to presentation)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage a team effectively
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and team members
- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and to lead a team towards project success
- Strong knowledge and application of different research methodologies, with a willingness to learn new research methodologies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SPSS/SAS (or other statistical software)
- Experience in data visualization tools and techniques
- Flexibility to travel as needed
