Entry Level Position
The RA/SRA is responsible for assisting in all aspects of client account management and project delivery. After developing strong foundational experience and competency in core areas of research, client, and project skills, the RA/SRA will be promoted to the SRA level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assists in all aspects of client account management, including initiating meetings with the manager to ensure all requirements are captured, aligning on tasks to follow up on, and demonstrating an ability to understand client business issues/research needs.
- Provides the highest standard of service levels, acts quickly and positively on every occasion.
- Assists the manager in the preparation of materials for proposals/tenders and pitches, prepares RFQs with little guidance, and consolidates costings given by vendors in a timely fashion and with minimal errors, raising questions promptly if costs received are questionable.
- Attends meetings and actively contributes to client discussions.
- Recognizes that they have a role to play in marketing and business expansion, including promoting awareness of the company amongst potential clients and contacts by liking and sharing articles on LinkedIn, creating content, representing the company at conferences and events, and other similar activities.
- Designs presentations according to client requirements.
- Analyses and summarizes research findings with minimal errors (no typo errors etc). Actively contributes to strategy/recommendation slides.
- Presents to small audiences/working committee and able to answer project-specific questions when needed.
- Takes notes and ensures all notes have been captured and are shared with the correct stakeholders.
- Works with team members to actively identify and solve project management related issues, generally acting in the role of troubleshooter to ensure smooth progress of own projects. Actively alerts senior team members.
- Designs simple research materials with minimal supervision from manager.
- Proofreads research materials to ensure quality (no typos, flow etc).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in market research, preferably in an agency setting.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with research tools such as SPSS, Qualtrics, or other similar software is a plus.
Note: The transition from RA to SRA usually takes approximately two years but can be more or less depending on the speed of progression. The SRA will be responsible for similar tasks to that of a RA, but will work more independently in getting work finished and may start taking on some line management responsibilities.
